The following companies pledged a total of more than $257,000 in 2006 to the Wisconsin SFI® Implementation Committee, Inc. Contributions are based on a per cord assessment for the volume of Wisconsin wood used at each mill and forestland owned by timber management companies. Contributions to the Wisconsin SIC in 2006 were used to fund logger training ($200,000) through FISTA, landowner assistance ($50,000) through the Wisconsin Tree Farm Committee, public outreach ($36,000) through WFREA, and logger certification ($18,000) through the Master Logger program.
